Qualifications:  The candidate must…

  • be able to understand the overall building budget and how each monies flow within it.
  • be able to communicate and work effectively with administration, staff, parents, and students to ensure that proper financial procedures are followed as part of an effective school budget.

 

Responsibilities:  The bookkeeper shall be responsible for…

  • managing all monies received or dispersed through school.
  • working collaboratively with the division Finance Director to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with the financial practices of the division as a whole.
  • compiling purchase requests from administration and staff, researching purchases, and submitting purchase orders for all school, office, and athletic needs.
  • managing receipt and proper delivery of all ordered materials.
  • insuring timely accurate payment of all invoices. This includes researching invoices to insure the proper amount is paid and that invoices have not already been paid.
  • submitting and managing reimbursement requests to the School Board Office when necessary.
  • being aware of student fees and financial obligations and being able to effectively answer questions about them.
  • working collaboratively with staff, parents, and teachers to ensure that all monies are correctly collected, recorded, and deposited in the appropriate accounts.
  • creating and accurately maintaining the school’s student debt list and submitting this to the administration on a weekly basis.
  • stamping, inventorying, and distributing all textbooks to the appropriate teachers.
  • supporting the mission and vision of the Superintendent and School Board.

Starting Salary:    Commensurate with Experience

Start Date:  Monday, October 1, 2018         

Contract:  12-month
