Technology Specialist

  • This is an immediate opening at the district level for the 2023-24 school year.  It is a 12 month position
    that reports directly to the Director of Technology.

    Base Salary: $33,660 (salary commensurate with experience)
     
    Minimum Qualifications:
     High school diploma or GED, required
     Previous experience in computer networks, hardware, and software implementation in an educational setting, preferred
       Knowledge of Windows, Chrome OS, and iPadOS preferred
     
    Responsibilities:
  •  Supports district staff through a HelpDesk environment for the purpose of their technology
    needs.
  •  Install computer hardware, peripherals, network equipment, and application software to
    maintain a safe and effective district and site operations including classrooms, library, computer
    labs, and office computer and/or equipment.
  •  Assess malfunctions of computer hardware and/or software applications for determining
    appropriate actions to maintain computer and network operations.
  •  Repairs computers, peripherals, network equipment and software, requiring specialized
    computer and electronics repair skills both on-site and in the repair shop for maintaining
    computer and network equipment in a safe and functional operating condition.
  •  Transport a variety of items (e.g. equipment, supplies, etc.) for providing materials at job sites or
    to bring equipment in for repairs.
  •  Upgrade computers, peripherals, network equipment and software applications (e.g.
    installation, testing, configuring, etc.) for meeting the computer processing needs of the users.
  •  Warehouse computer parts, supplies, and materials for establishing an inventory of items
    commonly required to repair/maintain technology hardware.
  •  Oversee and work with the summer student interns in completing summer projects.
